Fleeing Libya

As a consequences of the "Arab Spring" in Libya, that toppled down Gheddafi and his regime, thousands of people, most of them sub-Saharan workers in Libya, since the beginning of the war, left the country as in risk of being killed in the war.
Thousands of people moved to the border of Tunisia, where in the desert location of Choucha, was created a UNHCR refugee camp.

In the pictures there is the life of the people in the refugee camp. Most of them was repatriated to their origin's country but for a few of them this was not possible because of the situation in their origin's country was as risky as going back to Libya.

The refugee camp of Choucha, at the peak of the crisis, was receiving up to 18,000 people a day.
